Mouse

Did you know: Mice can produce ultrasonic vocalizations and 'sing' to attract mates.

About the Mouse

Mice are small rodents found all over the world, both in the wild and as pets or laboratory animals. These tiny mammals are known for their ability to squeeze through very small openings, thanks to their flexible skeletons. Mice are primarily nocturnal and have poor eyesight, relying more on their acute sense of smell and hearing. They are omnivores, eating a variety of seeds, grains, and insects in the wild. Mice are social animals and communicate through a range of vocalizations, many of which are ultrasonic and inaudible to human ears. In the wild, they play an important role in ecosystems as a food source for many predators. As pets, mice are known for their curious and intelligent nature.
