Arctic Fox

Did you know: Arctic foxes can hear lemmings burrowing under 4-5 inches of snow.
About the Arctic Fox
The Arctic fox is a small canine native to Arctic regions. Known for its thick, white winter coat, this adaptable creature changes its fur color with the seasons. In summer, its coat turns brown or gray to blend with the tundra landscape. Arctic foxes have excellent hearing and a keen sense of smell, which helps them locate prey beneath the snow. They are well-equipped to handle extreme cold, with fur-covered footpads and a fluffy tail they use as a warm cover.
